Unfortunately, they don’t.  Great minds are too busy being great to worry about temporal pleasures.  

Alternately: Great minds know they’re great and are too arrogant to notice or appreciate a great mind in someone else, and therefore only go for lesser minds. (I.e. computer genius-millionaire who only goes for dim-but-pretty girls)

Alter-alternately: Great minds that are presenting a revolutionary viewpoint may be too self-aware and/or too self-conscious, and don’t see the greatness of others’ minds while being wrapped up in their own neuroses and miss a good thing altogether, or are too shy or modest/humble to address said good thing, and good thing was waiting and finally got tired of waiting after 10 years of waiting and breaks the holding pattern.  Great Mind the First then gets bitter and/or disillusioned because Great Mind the second moved on and resolves only to date decidedly lesser minds who protect said fragile ego, thus ruining chances of meaningful relationship and conversation but giving said Great Mind something pretty to look at. 

… but I’m not bitter.
